All Things Gear

So as of the last several months I have been working endlessly at getting guitar equipment that will help me in my search for professional tone (whatever that means). I have been searching for equipment that will further establish my seriousness as a guitarist. My pedal board has gone through several transformations. I have picked up a new amp, and guitar, as well.

My pedals:

DOD Compressor Sustainer FX80-B
Keely modded Maxon Od9
Love pedal Superlead
line 6 M5
Boss DD-20
Ibanez DE7
BBE Sonic Stomp
ISP Decimator
Digitech Jamman solo

Still looking for a couple Items: Love Pedal Amp 11, Jamman Controller, and T1m ABY with buffer.

As of now my board is set up well. I don't technically need any things else. It is at a solid place. I have the standard compression, to od's, and two delays. I have everything on a Furman SPB-8. The board is not the best, but it does the job for now. I will one day upgrade to a PT board, because they have slots for your cables to go under the board; It makes it look neater.

Besides my board, my over all rig looks like this:
My main guitar is an 03 Musicman Silhouette special. It is an HSS and has a trem. It is a great guitar for lead work. Its pretty well rounded. I am thinking of modding it in the future, but for now it is a solid guitar. I am very attached to it.

The amps are A 2x12 Bogner Alchemist, and a 2x12 Peavey 5150. The Bogner is my "go to" amp right now. It gives me a wide range of sounds from classic rock, blues, contemporary, to heavy rock/post rock tones. It is great for lead work and has amazing cleans. The dirty channel is solid, but I tend to throw an OD pedal or two on there to push it a little. The Peavey is an amazing shred metal amp. I use it for metal and it gets the job done. It is a one trick pony. Only metal guys use the 5150. I will run in stereo with the Bogner when I play metal gigs.

The Final piece for my live rig is a ESP LTD 400-CE. It has EMGs, which are an upgrade from the stock pups. It is a great feeling guitar. It is built well. I wouldn't mine owning more of this brand one day, or upgrading to a better model.

Building my rig has been both rewarding and challenging. I dont make much money, but I save what I can and hunt for good deals. I have not spent the store price on anything guitar related in a year or so. Most of the stuff I buy is used too. My rig, over all, is still a work in progress, but I think it is solid for the first time ever. It has the essentials.
