Summer Blues

Times are changing and new developments are under way. Recently, I decided to take a trip to Kansas City. I am looking forward to the trip, but at the moment, I feel a little down. I can't say why, maybe the rain, or just the fact that I haven't kept busy the last week or so. The time in KC should be fun though. It brings back old memories of great friends and great times. God did a lot for me during my time there. I guess KC will always have a spot in my Heart, more importantly, the friends I made while staying there will have a spot in my heart. Who knows, maybe I will be able to live there again some day.

Life's journey is more important then the result. I often wonder about how I can make specific things happen, but through experience have found that working hard and not being blinded by the end result makes a dream become reality. So get ready for work if you want to do something of worth and value, but that isn't what true purpose really is, It's just the off shoot from some thing much bigger by comparison, true purpose is to love Jesus and make him known by word and deed. Everything we do will become more purposeful when we put Christ first. So the source of true purpose is to first know God, and spend time with him, to read the word to know him more, to pray, and to experience his fullness. Many times we get over excited and forget the basics, instead of staying rooted in the basics we go off and do our own thing(which can lead to misguidance). Life is tough, and it's even tougher on your own. To deflect trouble and attacks we need God and his guidance, the easiest way to gain the knowledge of God and learn how to apply his basic principles is to read the bible. It's simple biblical truths that tend to do so much for us.
