Actively pursuing the heart of God
Some things just need to be walked out. You might not do things perfect, chances are, things won't turn out how you expect, but its better to be in the game then to sit on the side line (you will probably wonder, what if I played, what if I tried, how would things be different?) left with just questions to previous situations can be consuming, at the least, they can make the battle of the mind one that is up hill. The kingdom of God is suppose to be evident in his people. The bible also says faith with out works is dead, some times, just looking at others and learning to be more selfless is the next level and For some its being less active and being more relational with God, both are situations that people go through.
The need For time with God is always the source of the relationship, but walking out the relationship reaffirms a measure of Faith and discipline; the two go hand in hand. Some times we need a kick in the pants when it comes to stepping out beyond are comfort level, but the truth is we should be in a place where we want that challenge and we want to pursue God, not just in our prayer time, but also in the actions that we take through out are days on earth. A lot of time an action is needed to solidify what is taking place in the spiritual. It proves Gods existance and it can be a powerful testimony to what God is doing. Being kingdom minded is to put God first, and to put others before your self.
When we begin to look outward we begin to see the bigger picture of what is taking place. We can see more large scale attacks/works of the enemy and we can begin to claim more victory in our own lives through christ Jesus. Selflessness enables us to be totally open to God. We say we want to cast away are sin and give every thing we have to God. We want him and nothing more. We want to be empty of the things of the world and filled with the spirit, sustained by God. If we are to do that don't we need that other side of the coin, doesn't the selflessness we desire between us and God need to be evident in our relationships with one another? Shouldn't are selflessness be evident in encounters with The yet to be saved?
The issued Challenge is this, begin to see the bigger picture by walking out your relationship with Christ, let it over flow into countless encounters, be a person of action. don't be the bench warmer who grows cold and lazy, who never jumps in. Help your community, share the Gospel, unite with other Church's, take stands against injustice, let love be the theme, let Jesus be the center of that love and let it multiply and increase as you go and do these things.
A friend once said, selfishness is anti-Christ, Selflessness is Christ. Which one do you want to be like?
"Give me one hundred men who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not whether they be clergyman or laymen, they alone will shake the gates of Hell and set up the kingdom of Heaven upon the earth." - John Wesely
