Random Highlights since my last post
I have had some cool experiences over the last month. Many of which I have never done before, until now:
I did a trampoline transfer, went to the Plaza, had bubble tea, ate at buuko de bepo (I probably spelled that wrong) a fancy Italian joint, got done with school for the semester, watched Iron man, Prince Caspian, and Indy 4, ate at a fancy Vietnamese place(can't remember the name for the life of me) went to the Kansas City museum of art, and was given a new Ibanez hollow body guitar.
I know, some of the things I previously spoke of should have there own posts, but I'm to lazy to post them all in individual posts, so I'm doing the next best thing -- talking about all of these things in this very post!
The trampoline transfer was very fun. I went to my friend kirks house. In kirks back yard he has two trampolines. One, in which, is a Olympic trampoline and the other was a typical store bought round trampoline. we jumped on them for hours, kirk is pretty much a pro at doing flips and things like that. I, on the other hand, am more of an amature, but that didn't stop me from having fun. By the end of the night we set the two trampolines 5 or 6 feet apart and I did my first transfer. It was pretty exciting. I had a great time.
The plaza is a great area. It has all these cool looking shops and restaurants and the architecture is really awesome. In the plaza you can find all types of people and exploring is always fun.

bubble tea is a popular Item, as it is in most parts of the country. I had the opportunity to go several times to a place in west port called " Tea Drops" Its great because they have a wide variety of different teas. So it to is fun to explore and try new types of teas. I had a chocolate and coconut with boba last time I was there and It was extremely tasty.

Buuko de bepo was an experience. It has a unique seating set up. To get to your seats you go down a flight of stairs and walk straight through the kitchen and walk down these narrow hall ways. Each party has their own room. It was pretty wild. The portions were quite large. The food quality was good, not spectacular in my estimation. The down side is its very expensive. I had one meal and two drinks (I payed for mine and my roommates) after tax and tip in came out to 33 bucks. And for us poor college kids, that is not on the "to do again" list. Not for a very long time.
School let out at the beginning of may. I honestly can't remember the exact date. I have been reading the bible and studying music theory allot, when I'm not out exploring this new land. I have been pretty active in my church too. We have shared a number of good times and a whole lot of God times as well. But all good things come to an end (not really). My next adventure starts in 4 days. When I drive from KC mo to the great state of my four fathers, you guest it, New Jersey! The plan is to see my friends and family, rest and strategies for the next semester. I need to find a Job too. hopefully all will go well and I will be safe.
This month has been the month for movies. Three big titles came out. I have watched all three and I'm ready to share my thoughts. The first was Iron man. quite possibly one of the best films I have seen in the last 5 years. I'm a sucker for awesome visuals and good sound tracks, if you also throw in a great story line you have me hooked. This movie had all of that. It had massive explosions and great music Ac dc "back in black" and black Sabbath " I am Iron man" just to name a few. The movie also leaves you with a scene after the credits, in which, you get set up for the sequel. The casting was perfect. Robert Downy Jr was born to play Tony stark. Over all I give the movie my stamp of approval.
The second movie I saw was Prince Caspian. It was a good movie. If you like the Narnia book series you should like the movies. This second film had a great story line. That was the main reason I like it so much. It had a few funny moments too. I was sad at the end of the movie though, you get some news that alters the the next film in the series, but you know that if you read the books. This film gets my stamp of approval.
The Third and my least favorite, Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull. I went to the theater, probably thinking what allot of people were thinking, I want this movie to be amazing.. I had high expectations(which they say you should never have, then you wont get disappointed). Visually the movie was breath taking, no doubt about it and the sound track was classic Indy, cant go wrong there, but my main issue with the film was the story line. For me the story line just lacked and was a bit to sci-fi for my liking. I say unless you are a die hard Indy fan you probably wont be amazed.
The art museum was such a wonderful time. The museum had art from many time periods and countries. when you entered a room you felt as if you entered that place in time. The building is pretty massive. I got lost in it, but eventually found my way. Some of the paintings seemed so alive, as if they were going to pop out of the picture, which I think is very cool. I didn't have a particular favorite. I just liked the place as a whole.

The final story for my post is about my new guitar. I was given a brand new guitar. It"s an incredible story actually. I went to worship rehearsal and about 15 mins in, we go to the side room where they have a surprise party for me. I was shocked, mainly because I've only been apart of this church for 4 months or so. After a little while they present me with a guitar..it was the exact one I was looking at with the youth pastor when we picked some stuff up from guitar center for church. I didn't make much mention to any one about it either, so I was double shocked that it was that guitar. when they gave it to me they said, because we believe in you and your destiny this is from the church. People I didn't even know chipped in. One lady was a Julliard grad. and she prayed over me a double portion of what she was given and she told me a story of how, she went to get her hair done and she told her hair dresser that she was going to a party for a young man and that a bunch of people chipped in to get him a guitar. The hair dresser looks at her and says, I want to help too. She gets her wallet out and hands her five bucks. The lady who told the story hands me the five and says I feel something very significant about this five. God is saying that even the wealth of the wicked will become yours. It is a symbol of Gods favor and blessing and that it will be a continual thing. She also invited me to learn advanced theory from her.

Oh and they chipped in way over the amount of the guitar. People are still donating its around 300 bucks right now. They said what ever comes in after the guitar is paid for will go towards my schooling.
They all prayed for me and we went back to practice. honestly one of the most undeserved craziest moments of my life. I think more than getting the actual gift, but the meaning behind it is what touched me the most. I could truly feel over whelming love. The one thing I can say about this church is that they don't care what age you are. You have a part in the kingdom and they will help activate/support that in any way they can.
